and anyone doing it on the ‘indy’ level that haven’t reach outside of their locale should follow suit.

It’s all about the music starting NOW.  What I mean is this; I’m not charging a person one dime, not one red cent for any music I put out.  Unless of course they choose to buy it on one of the various digital services I’ll have my stuff on, but as far as local, or anyone hitting me up you can get it for free.  Free downloads, free discs, free songs.  Charging $5 or $10 for a local cd is bullshit.  That’s my opinion, so take it for what it’s worth.  I’ll continue to buy others albums when they’re charging because they may not be in the same mind set as me.  I’m sick of having music that people aren’t hearing on a larger level so in order to compensate for people being cheap, I’ll take the loss.  It’s not like it will make any real difference anyway.  Trying to ‘make’ money on stuff like that is lame anyway.  I’m going the Lil Wayne route.  Hell, Murs and 9th Wonder just dropped a whole album as a free digital download….the stae of music is changing and so am I.
